I would like to thank you for being so considerate to help two very rushed women choose their wines for a surprise birthday party!
My friend was trying to host a surprise party for her husband’s 50th birthday at my home the next evening. We were already way behind schedule and clueless as far as choosing correct wines. She does not drink. My grandmother taught me to appreciate red wine as a part of life. I know nothing other than, “that was a good tasting bottle of wine, or–that was horrible”. I learned that there is so much more than just choosing a label because I happened to have enjoyed it in the past. What year? Good or bad year for them?, etc.
Ironically, the Rodney Strong cabernet that you selected was already the guest of honor’s favorite! The party was a smash. When we received compliments on the wine we were sure to give credit where credit was due and mentioned your name!
Thank you for feeling generous with your time that afternoon @ Costco. Many people do not seem to find the time or interest in helping to make someone’s day a little easier, but you did.

What a fabulous evening you put together for us last night, and how fortunate we were that you included us.We throughly enjoyed the whole experience and as usual, learned a great deal from your comments on the wines. There are very few people who could come up with such an interesting selection of unusual wines of such great quality, and even fewer who are able to talk about them with such expertise. Maybe we could consider doing a similar type of dinner at Four Seasons on day… and of course, we would love to have you participate, select the wines, and talk about them in the same way.
Do let me know when your wife is back in town; it would be nice if you brought her to one of our upcoming Kitchen Cabinets, we have one scheduled for Thursday, November 18th. We now have our wall painted and a space for you to sign your name!
